Research by the Franchise Relationships Institute (FRI) shows that 25% of the 50,000 franchisees in Australia are multi unit owners and that this group controls 50% of the franchise units in Australia and is growing at 1% a year.

Expanding through multi unit franchising can be risky for both franchisees and franchisors. However, when the expansion process is managed effectively the benefits to both parties are significant.

Purpose of the Summit

FRI has developed the Multi Unit Summit to provide franchisees and franchisor executives with a forum to come together with franchising experts to explore how to expand and run successful multiple franchise units.

Our goal is to improve the standards of multi unit franchising in Australia by creating a showcase of local and international best practice and facilitating attendees to consider how they might adapt and apply these in their own business.
