About the Facilitator:

Rajiv Rajan, Director & Licensee, Finn Franchise Brokers WA

Rajiv was a Senior Executive with almost 20 years highly successful experience in two blue chip pharmaceutical and life science companies, leaving his last role with Novartis Pharma AG in Basel, Switzerland, as Global Head, Sales Excellence. With a strong commercial background and MBA qualified, Rajiv has performed a broad range of functions in Sales, Operations & Marketing, applying diverse solutions to complex business challenges in both the European and US pharmaceutical markets.
In 2011, Rajiv immigrated to Australia and soon afterwards fulfilled a long-held ambition to be self-employed, joining The Finn Group as a franchisee.

Rajiv has successfully developed his Finn Franchise Brokers business with year on year growth in top and bottom line performance and has become instrumental in multiple Franchise Business Sales in WA.  He is passionate about business, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, coming from an entrepreneurial family with varied business interests.

About the Guest Panellists:

Brendan Green CFE, Director and Franchisor of Hire-A-Hubby

Brendan Green has been the CEO of Australia's largest handyman business, Hire A Hubby, for 20 years. Hire A Hubby provides handyman, home maintenance and tradeswork services for individuals and companies throughout Australia, New Zealand the UK. Starting with one franchise In 1996, Hire A Hubby now has 321 franchisees across Australia, 50 in New Zealand and 10 in the UK. Launching his own lawn mowing business when he was just 19, growing Hire A Hubby substantially since 1999 and recently launching a new business, Franchise Cloud Solutions, Brendan is a natural entrepreneur.

Brendan was recently accredited as a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) with the Franchise Council of Australia. The CFE program is the only internationally recognised professional accreditation program for franchise executives.

In his free time Brendan enjoys motor sports and spending time with his family.

Ken Britto, Franchisee of The Coffee Club Baldivis and Byford

Ken commenced with Hungry Jacks Australia in 1989 after emigrating from India where he was in an engineering role. For 22 years he operated various restaurants in different capacities as restaurant manager, development, training and multi-site operator.  His highest achievement was making the first million-dollar net profit for one restaurant in a financial year in 34 years of company operations in Australia, and consistently the same for the next 3 years.

With a strong operations background, Ken later joined QSRH in 2011, where he looked after an area of company owned restaurants building teams, the development of sites and returning profitability to most of the restaurants.

Ken later joined Nando's Australia as company operations manager In WA where he achieved high profitability for the whole network and led the Nando's corporate brand with site relocations, new restaurant build projects. He was awarded the people development champion by the company.

With all his skills, Ken acquired his own franchise of the Coffee Club in 2015 and later took another site in 2016. Both these sites run at a very high standard with the highest standards in the country and deliver best controls and bottom line compared to the rest of the network.

Ken is very passionate with whatever is entrusted to him but is focused on all aspects of Business operations.

Emily Slevin, WA Regional Master Franchisee of Aussie Pooch Mobile

Emily's Background was as a Tour guide for Nullabor Traveller 2007-2010 and a Croupier at Star city Casino from 2002-2007.  Emily's Career with Aussie Pooch Mobile started in 2010 when she bought the Scarborough WA franchise.  After having her daughter in 2012 Emily went back to work after 5 months maternity leave and from there her business started to boom. In 2014 she sold her first split (which is where you split your franchise territory) and then followed with another in 2015 and again 2017. In 2017 Emily also opened up a second franchise area and purchased a second trailer employing a full time rep.
In 2014 Emily won Aussie Pooch Mobile's Overall National Franchisee, 2015 National Marketing award and then also again in 2017.

In January 2018 Emily took over the WA Regional Master Franchise and now oversees 20 franchises and representatives. In May 2018 Emily won the WA Franchise Woman of the Year at the FCA Regional awards. Becoming a part of Aussie Pooch Mobile has been the most successful and rewarding experience of Emily's life.

Tony Campbell, Business Development Manager, Poolwerx Western Australia

Tony is proud to be the West Australian Business Development Manager (BDM) for Poolwerx. Australian Franchisor of the Year - Twice!  Tony has been awarded Poolwerx BDM of the year, FCA WA Field Manager of the Year and national finalist with over 16 years' quality retail and wholesale business development experience in a range of sectors including consumer electronics, educational resources, books and consumer durable goods and services.

There are 22 Franchise Partners in Tony's region operating 9 mobile territories and 16 retail stores. His key responsibilities as BDM include being a business and growth coach, mentor, brand compliance observer, HR advisor and business development manager for the Franchise Partners.
