Introducing our inaugural Coffee Catch Up meetings

The VIC Chapter is calling upon franchisors to attend our inaugural "Coffee Catch-Up".

This month Sara Pantaleo, CEO, La Porchetta & Mike McCarthy, CEO & Director, Barry Plant will lead the group.  The topic of discussion will be on "Media Crisis for Franchisors".

Come along, treat yourself to coffee, breakfast and an informal group of like-minded franchise colleagues.

Sara Pantaleo, Chief Executive Officer, La Porchetta

Sara Pantaleo is passionate about franchising as a business model that empowers both franchisor and franchisee to achieve success.  The franchise she leads, La Porchetta is the largest, franchised, licensed, à-la-carte restaurant group in Australia and New Zealand.  Sara joined in 1996, when there were only 12 in the group and she drove growth by developing systems and processes for every aspect of the business. Her strategy was to grow the brand without compromising its core family and community culture.

Sara has also driven ongoing innovation and modernization that enables La Porchetta to meet changing consumer needs, while ensuring the focus remains on quality and service. Sara is keen to mentor and support others in the industry. She is in regular contact with startup franchise systems and is generous with her time and sharing her expertise.

Sara is also passionate about supporting small business generally and family businesses in particular and she is chair of the Family Business Australia Victorian State Committee.

Mike McCarthy, CEO & Director, Barry Plant

Mike McCarthy has been CEO & Director of The Barry Plant Group since 2001.  There are around 80 franchisees of Barry Plant, most of which are in Victoria. 

The group are the market leader both in the sale of property as well as property management, in a highly visible and scrutinised industry! Barry Plant sells approximately 10,000 homes per annum with 12% market share and manage around 35,000 rental properties.
