The NSW-ACT Chapter invites you to an afternoon tea proudly hosted and sponsored by Foodco.

Join us to hear four leaders of prominent franchise brands provide genuine insights into how they have successfully innovated in their roles and franchise systems. In a series of short presentations and a panel discussion, our speakers will share what has worked, what didn't and what are they thinking about for the future.

   Attend this session to learn:

  • Where are we innovating to?

Shaun has specialised in the area of commercial disputes for nearly 20 years and concentrated on providing my clients with advice designed to avoid and resolve disputes quickly, quietly and commercially. 

For the last 15 years, Shaun has acted for numerous consumer markets and franchising clients, helping him gain deep expertise in franchising and consumer law-related dispute resolution and litigation.  Shaun is also passionate about the role that legal technology can play in responding to challenges and disruption currently facing the legal sector. 

Shaun is currently the Head of Innovation at Maddocks.

Natalie Brennan, General Manager, Muffin Break

Muffin Break will celebrate 30 years in Australia next April. You don't stay in business that long without constantly re-inventing and innovating. Natalie Brennan, Muffin Break's General Manager, has been with the franchisor for 17 years and has been the driving force behind many of Muffin Break's first to market initiatives.

Natalie has also re-invented herself over a career in hospitality and franchising that has spanned over 30 years. Originally, she trained as a Physical Education teacher, and has since woven her story and that of Muffin Break's beyond one great idea, where innovation is about perpetual forward motion.

 

Brendan Green, Chief Executive Officer, Hire A Hubby

Brendan Green has been the CEO of Australia's largest handyman business, Hire A Hubby, for 20 years. Hire A Hubby provides handyman, home maintenance and tradeswork services for individuals and companies throughout Australia, New Zealand the UK. Starting with one franchise In 1996, Hire A Hubby now has 321 franchisees across Australia, 50 in New Zealand and 10 in the UK.

Launching his own lawn mowing business when he was just 19, growing Hire A Hubby substantially since 1999 and recently launching a new business, Franchise Cloud Solutions, Brendan is a natural entrepreneur.

Andrew McKenna, General Manager, Franchise & Business Development, Fastway Couriers

Andrew McKenna was appointed to the strategic directional role at an executive level at the multi award winning, franchise business "Fastway Couriers", where he heads up franchising and development. Andrew has been instrumental in the development, concept & leadership roles of 2 recent game changing business formats for "Parcel Connect", an innovative retail model providing an integrated network of over 500 independent retail drop off and pick up locations, and "Blu Couriers", an agile crowd sourced business model providing an instantaneous "pop up fleet" of fully trained and inducted couriers assisting the courier franchise network in servicing fluctuating parcel volumes.


Carlos Antonius, General Manager, Chatime

Carlos joined Infinite Plus as Group General Manager in June 2015, and is charged with overseeing the Australian operation of Greater Eastern Food Collective for brands including Chatime, Cloud Thief and Soo Zee 23.

Carlos has extensive experience in the franchise industry, including roles with Nando's Australia appointed as Head of Marketing, General Manager and Development Director. Carlos' experience in developing retail brands was honed by his previous experience within the Australian advertising sector, developing strategy and campaigns for many Australian retail and International FMCG brands.
