QLD Christmas Celebrations
Celebrate the warmth of the season
and the successes of the year.
The FCA QLD-NT Chapter Committee invite you to the annual Christmas celebration.
Join the FCA QLD-NT Chapter Committee for the final event of 2017 the annual Christmas celebration and pre-party guest speaker and franchisor panel discussion.
This year we will have an impressive combination of guest speakers and our panel of experts for the pre-party event from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, where the key theme is "Franchisee Recruitment".
Recruiting franchisees is often quoted by franchisors as the most difficult aspect of franchising. You need to simultaneously balance the roles of salesperson and HR practitioner. Recruiting new franchisees is a critical factor in the successful growth and long-term sustainability of franchise brands. However, increasing regulation of the franchise sector require franchisors to be increasingly diligent in bullet-proofing their recruitment processes.
Our guest speakers and panel of experts will contribute their own personal experiences to the mix and Jan Timms, Director, Get Smart Services, will provide an update on the findings over the last twelve months from her PhD research study on learning and development in the Australian franchising sector and the factors that contribute and hinder the success of L&D strategy.

Selecting the Right Franchisees
While franchisee recruiters obviously want to sell franchises to meet their growth targets, they also want to select quality franchisees. Greg will share tips for helping to balance this creative tension between selling franchises and selecting franchisees.
Greg will also discuss the important generic attributes that make a difference to franchisee success and how you can assess these and the warning signs we should watch for that could indicate a problem franchisee.
Simone Pentis, Advantage Partners Lawyers will give a Vulnerable Workers update and our two QLD NextGen finalists Jeremy Dyer and Dr Neran De Silva will share their experiences with participating in the The NextGen in Franchising competition.
Our MC for the event is Darryn McAuliffe, FRANData and the Panel of Experts include:
