Planning for and Participating in Mediation

- Must Do's from a Mediator's Perspective

This forum aims to give practical advice from a mediator who has conducted OFMA mediations on the essentials for parties to a mediation to complete prior to attending mediation.  Learn examples of action positively assisting resolution of the dispute and absolutely blocking the resolution of the dispute as well as recommendations for participating in mediation to promote resolution.

Attend this session to learn:

  • Better understanding of the parties role in the medaition process.
  • Practical tips for planning for and participating in mediation.
  • Knowledge of some of the problems that hinder resolution and conduct that facilitates mediation.

About the Facilitator:

Alicia Hill, Principal, MST Lawyers

Alicia is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation, a NAMS Mediator, graded Arbitrator and a commitee member of the ACCC Small Business and Franchising Advisory Committee and the Resolution Institute Mediation Special Interest Group (Victoria).

Alicia practices in the resolution of disputes and can provide perspective from the franchisor, franchisee, legal representative or mediator view point.
