Perry Heynen - UltraTune & Dome Cafe
Perry Heynen has been involved in franchising since the early 80's firstly with a very successful 10 year career as an agent of The Prudential Insurance Company where Perry wrote in excess of 30 million dollars in new insurance business, during this time Perry also studied Accounting and Financial planning and went on to
acquire an ITP, Income Tax Professionals franchise that grew into 8 office and 5000 clients throughout the Pilbara and Kimberley region.
In 1985 Perry purchased the Master Franchise for Miniskips Northwest and opened centres in Karratha and Port Hedland, In 1986 Perry won the West Australian Young Achievers Award for Entrepreneurial Endeavour and became sought after as a motivational speaker. In 1991 Perry sold all his interests in Insurance and Accounting so he could focus on his waste manage business, Perry rebranded his Miniskips business into Ezi-Bins and grew the business into the largest regional waste management company in Western Australia, Ezi-Bins won major waste contracts with BHP Billiton.
In 2015 Perry took voluntary redundancy, and two months later was diagnosed with Renal Cancer, whilst recovering from successful major surgery Perry decided to again take charge of his own destiny and in May this year purchased the Ultratune store in Belmont, Perry has a passion for Harley Davidson's, men's health,
business and the Freo Dockers, in his spare time he writes and performs stand up comedy, Perry is now totally cancer free.
Yaz Mubarakai - Sumo Salad Multi-Site
Yaz Mubarakai and his family have been involved in the franchising sector for 10 years. They are multi site, Inter State operators, with stores in WA, Victoria and Queensland.
Yaz and his family operate businesses with the Sumo Salad and Australia Post brands, in addition to a establishing and operating a well known Cafe/Bistro and a leading Indian restaurant in Cockburn, WA.
Yaz holds a Masters of Commerce, a Diploma in Information Systems & Technology and a MBA in International Marketing & Business In addition to his longstanding involvement in Small Business, Yaz was a Councillor with the City of Cockburn for 4 years and is actively engaged in representing the interests of Small Business, in the political arena.
