Using Data to Your Strategic Advantage

Many organisations / franchisors have a wealth of information available about their business or customers, and are not using it to its full advantage. 

The purpose of this interactive forum is to understand and learn more about how organisations across different industries are using data and analytics to their strategic advantage. 

This forum will cover:

  • The increasing use of 'Big Data' and Predictive Analytics, and real life examples of how this is being used in different industries (fast food, fashion, sports, etc),
  • How 'Big Data', down to the most simple of datasets, can assist organisations in understanding more about their customers or members.  This can then be used for network planning, site selection, or targeting customers for increased ROI from marketing campaigns, and
  • Roundtable discussion and ideas on overcoming the common issues faced with data collation and analysis.

Come prepared to contribute and to learn more about how data and predictive analytics could assist your organisation gain a strategic advantage.

The morning will be facilitated by Vanessa Wilmot, Director at Geotech Information Services.

About the Facilitator:

Vanessa Wilmot, Director, Geotech Information Services

Vanessa has over 16 years' experience in research and consulting to organisations, from start-up businesses through to major national and international brands,  Vanessa's expertise is in data and predictive analytics (including sales prediction modelling), and using this with mapping outputs to develop robust network plans for clients to drive more effective, and profitable, strategies. 

Vanessa also has a passion for 'Big Data', using data mining techniques to assist clients understand more about their customers or members, their spending patterns, and who is most likely to respond to various marketing activities.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology & Psychophysiology), a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours in Psychology), a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance & Investment, and is a member of the Franchise Council of Australia.
