With today's ever competitive retail market, how do you stay ahead of the pack and deliver return on investment to your franchisees, whilst continuing to grow your brand?

One franchise systems has begun to think outside the box. They haven't reinvented the wheel, but they have updated it. Lenard’s now run a 'hub and spoke' model to adapt to their changing retail environment.
Lenard's CEO, Bruce Myers will share how this new model will ensure growth for their franchisees at about half the cost of their traditional model. 

With many franchise systems highlighting challenges around financing for franchisees and finding franchisees, this model sees franchisees taking on one ‘hub’, one location that acts as both a traditional store and a product production point, and four spokes, smaller retail locations minus the production point.  This is both an efficient way to utilise production assets that already exist and also provides franchisees with a lower cost model to use for expansion.

Bruce Myers, joined Lenard's in 1998 as Chief Financial Officer.  His hard work and dedication to Lenard's earned him the role as the first Chief Executive Officer, a role he assumed in 2000.

Bruce also became an Executive Director of the business in 2003 and, in 2007, became a shareholder.

With over 14 years experience at the helm of one of Australia’s premium fresh food retailers, Bruce has an extensive knowledge of what grocery buyers want and how to best service them.
By encouraging the motto of kaizen, or continuous improvement, Lenard’s reputation as an innovator and retailer has prospered strongly under his leadership.
