NSW Roundtable 28/08/2013

Building logical territories for your business

In this very informative Round Table event, Peter Buckingham will introduce you to the concept of having a Process for territory planning.  This is extremely important to avoid the legal pitfalls that may arise otherwise.
Peter regularly runs seminars in Franchise Site Selection and Territory Planning which are promoted by the FCA, and he is a Fellow of the FCA and the IMC, and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

  1. Do you want or need to have territories for your franchise business?
  2. Let’s discuss the various models that businesses use in deciding on territories or PMA’s (Preferred Marketing Areas), or whether you should have them at all?
  3. What information is available to help you decide how to formulate your territories?
  4. How do you decide how many territories you want in Sydney, then in other markets around Australia and NZ?
  5. Peter will show and discuss Census Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). He will discuss Business Data that is necessary if you are working in a Business to Business field. Then to put all this together, you need to think of how you will map it, maybe using proprietary software or Google Earth.

Peter would be happy to share his knowledge in a roundtable with the New South Wales members.
