Nigel Miller  - Franchisor, Plus Fitness 24/7

Nigel Miller is the co Franchisor and Director of the Plus Fitness Franchise Group. After running health clubs for over ten years Nigel Miller and co Franchisor John Fuller embarked upon franchising their Plus Fitness Health Club business model in 2009. In March 2011 Nigel and John launched their new Franchise Model and brand, 'Plus Fitness 24/7' Since then they have opened over 50 Franchised gyms and sold over 100 Franchises in just under 2 years.

With previous careers in both the Banking and Insurance sectors, Nigel also previously worked as a consultant in the Fitness Industry prior to forming a partnership with John Fuller, the founding Director of Plus Fitness. Amongst the many 'hats' worn by most Franchisors, Nigel's primary roles in the company fall under the banners of Marketing, Compliance and Franchise Recruitment, the latter being the only remaining role that that is shared equally between Nigel and John.

Paul Maraia – National Franchise Recruitment Manager, RAMS Financial Group

Paul has an in depth and varying work history in the franchise sector across the hospitality, transport and logistics and finance industry. Having also experienced being a franchisor as well as holding various senior management roles with several well respected franchise brands including Fastway Couriers and RAMS Home Loans, Paul’s knowledge and expertise extends to recruiting franchisees, managing franchise relationships and improving franchise performance. Paul is currently the National Franchise Recruitment Manager at RAMS Financial Group, Committee Member of the FCA (NSW Chapter) and is committed to supporting Franchising in Australia.

Neil McMillan – Director Brand Development, Fifo Capital

Neil commenced with Fifo Capital Australia as the company's National Franchise Manager in November 2008 before commencing his current role as the Australian State Master Franchisee mid 2010. Neil has appointed, trained and managed most of the 43 franchisees that are currently working in Fifo and has grown the Fifo Capital business to a turnover of almost $100m within five years.

His experience extends across 15 years working in the UK, New Zealand and Australia for such companies as; Royal Bank of Scotland , Lock Finance , Scottish Pacific Benchmark. Neil won the RBS Invoice Finance Outstanding Achiever Award in 2006.Neil was awarded a place as  runner up in the Franchise Council of Australia 2010 Franchise Executive of the Year Awards

Sara Pantaleo - CEO La Porchetta

Sara Pantaleo drove the growth of La Porchetta from only 12 outlets when she joined the company in 1996, into the largest, licensed, a-la-carte restaurant franchise in Australasia today, with over 70 in the group.  She achieved this by building corporate systems and process that enabled the company to expand without compromising its core family values and culture.

With the right elements firmly in place, Sara went on to introduce key structural and service innovations that positioned La Porchetta for continued strong growth.

Sara is passionate about franchising as a business model. She was Vice-President of the Victorian chapter of the FCA, is a member of the FCA CEO group & was elected to the FCA Board in October 2012.

Sara was national Franchise Woman of the Year 2010 and a Victorian finalist in the 2012 Telstra Business Woman of the Year award.

Facilitator - Jane Lombard from The Franchise Shop a franchising advocate and experience recruitment professional.

With over 13 years experience in the franchise industry and having owner 3 franchised businesses, Jane has a proven track record in understanding the challenges faced by both the franchisor and the franchisee.

Jane holds a diploma in franchising is a committee member of the NSW Franchise Council of Australia and has worked with a broad range of clients who have achieved success in the franchise industry, working with them from feasibility, through franchise development and onto achieving their recruitment goals.
