NSW Roundtable 22/02/2013

Marketing and product considerations in multicultural Australia.

The Muslim community is one of the fastest growing in Australia, growing by almost 40% between the 2006 and 2011 census to over 470,000 people.   With the growth of other belief systems in Australia including Hinduism and Buddhism, the challenge for business today is the ability to offer product and/or service that fits the cultural and religious requirements of one of the world’s most multicultural nations.  This roundtable session is relevant for franchise systems in quick service restaurants and those with franchise locations in culturally diverse areas where the importance of local area marketing is prevalent.  We welcome an open discussion on what is an important and relevant topic for franchising.

National Marketing Manager, Peter Dable started with The Cheesecake Shop in March 2010 after working in various marketing positions for KFC, Red Bull and computer game developer Ubisoft.  As facilitator of this round table session, Peter looks forward to leading an open conversation among franchise peers about what we do, don’t and should be doing in regards to communicating to a multicultural audience in Australia.
