VIC Christmas Breakfast 11/12/2012

Join us for our last FCA VIC/TAS Breakfast of the year, at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club and hear Rebecca Scott's story.

Rebecca Scott
Rebecca is the co-founder and CEO of STREAT, a social enterprise that provides homeless and disadvantaged youth with a pathway from the street to long-term employment in the hospitality industry. STREAT started its first café operations and also had its first youth start in March 2010. Since then it has grown to having three cafes around inner Melbourne, and also had 52 young people in its programs.

There are over 100 million people living and working on the world's streets, and 100,000 of them within our own Australian communities. STREAT is a Melbourne-based social enterprise that provides homeless and disengaged youth aged 16-25 years with a supported pathway from the streets to a career in the hospitality industry. The organisation runs three cafes and a coffee roasting business within inner Melbourne where it's youth receive their supported training. To date it has had over 50 youth in its programs and served over 250,000 customers. And through its businesses STREAT gives these customers a tangible way to create positive change with every delicious mouthful.
