VIC Breakfast 13/11/2012

Leading and inspiring your team into the future

Proudly brought to you by the Women In Franchising committee.

Being a great leader means having clear vision, a passion for the success of your business, the ability to listen, and being able to inspire your team to contribute to your company's future triumphs.  While these attributes may be simple to detail on paper, putting them into practice is often a lot more difficult.

We have arranged for three inspiring leaders to speak at one of the last breakfasts of the year.

Hear Carolyn Crewell, founder, Carman's speak on what makes her an inspirational leader and hear her journey to becoming the 2012 Victorian Telstra Business Woman of the year.

Greg Nathan, international expert on the "people issues" in franchising will shed light on the psychology of an effective leader and how to lead your team.

And finally, Emma Nicole, Red Balloon Corporate Account Director will discuss the leaders who are successfully encouraging and inspiring their teams.

Carolyn Creswell - Founder, Carman's
Carman’s founder Carolyn Creswell is an inspirational leader whose success proves that you can run a multinational business and still have a genuine work-life balance.
Carolyn has managed to grow Carman’s to become the number one selling muesli brand on Australian supermarket shelves, while at the same time maintaining a great relationship with her husband and raising four kids under eight!
Carolyn has always been focused on producing quality products using whole foods. From humble beginnings, seeing her park her Daewoo alongside semi-trailers in supermarket loading docks, Carolyn’s determination has seen Carman’s build a strong following in 36 countries around the world. Read more

Greg Nathan - Franchise Relationships Institute
Greg is the creative genius behind FRI and is widely recognised as an international thought leader on managing the people issues in franchising.

Greg started life in franchising as a multi-unit franchisee with Brumby’s and later became National Marketing and Operations Manager for the franchisor. He has authored several best selling books and developed a number of ground breaking tools and models for the franchising sector such as The Franchise E-Factor and the Nathan Profiler. In 2003 the Franchise Council of Australia presented him with the inaugural National Contribution to Franchising Award in recognition of his pioneering work in franchise education and research.

Emma Nicolle - RedBalloon for Corporate
Emma has worked as an Engagement Account Director at RedBalloon for Corporate for 2 years from a background in publishing and digital marketing. With experience working for both Blue Chip and Start Up organisations with some wildly different recognition policies she understands what it is like to be both an engaged and disengaged employee.

Now working with the likes of CBA, McGrath, Gloria Jeans, Panasonic, RACQ and literally hundreds of SME organisations Emma is committed to decreasing the $42 billion per annum that is lost to Australian businesses via disengaged staff one experience at a time.

Panellists will share their experience and provide practical tips and advice about leading and inspiring your team.

This breakfast will be held at Fenix Restaurant, 680 Victoria St, Richmond Vic 3121

Parking is available at only $4.00 per car.
