Speaker Biographies

Steve Wright – Executive Director, Franchise Council of Australia (FCA)
Steve is a media and communications professional with more than 15 years experience in industry advocacy and stakeholder relations, including investor, media and government relations and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining the FCA, Steve was Director (Communications) with Gavin Anderson & Company, one of the nation’s leading public affairs, corporate and government relations consultancies.

Siobhan O’Gara - Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)
Siobhan joined the ACCC following experience in the banking industry, in commercial and residential property management and academia. Her experience in the franchising sector, as a small business owner, has assisted Siobhan in her current education and liaison role with the franchising sector.

Richelle Moran, Advisor, Small Business Development Corporation
Richelle has a Bachelor of Business and Post Graduate Diploma in Business from Curtin University and is a business advisor with the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), specialising in franchising, industrial relations and business structures.

Through the SBDC, Richelle uses her extensive business experience to guide and assist small business owners on a wide range of business issues.  As a CPA with a strong accounting and tax background Richelle brings a wealth of experience to this role. 

Before joining the State Government, Richelle worked with chartered accounting firms in the areas of accounting and tax.

Leon Pike, Operations Manager, City Farmers
Leon has enjoyed a career in franchising spanning more than 18 years and is passionate about all things franchising especially customer service, field support and developing a thriving franchising culture. Leon is well known for the enthusiasm he brings to everything he undertakes. He has enjoyed great success and recognition in each endeavour and as a consequence is highly respected in the sector both as a colleague and speaker / presenter. Leon  currently serves on the State Chapter Committee for the Franchise Council of Australia. In 2009 Leon was recognised with the FCA - Contribution to Franchising Award and in 2010 the Paddy Thompson - Contribution to Franchising Award.

Aaron Raddock, Franchisee, Hudsons Coffee
Aaron’s background is a Senior Geologist for Rio Tinto’s Global Project Team which saw him travelling to remote areas around the globe. Originally based in Melbourne, and being a regular customer of the Elizabeth Street flagship store, Aaron decided that becoming a Hudsons Coffee Franchisee would provide him with a more stable lifestyle that would allow him to start a family with his wife Shandell.
Aaron is currently looking at opening a second site in Perth, and represents the state of WA on the Hudsons Coffee Franchise Advisory Council.
