When the going gets tough, who would own shops? Perhaps fewer investors now want to, bit there are still bright spots.

It's a tough time to own retail property. Numerous household names - including RED group's Angus & Robertson and Borders, Colorado Group, Fletcher Jones, Clive Peters, Bettina Liano, Game, Retravision Southern and most recently Darrell Lea - have hit the wall amid difficult trading conditions.
