New Chip and PIN card reader will make it easier for businesses to take secure card payments face-toface, anytime, anywhere.

Sydney, Australia - 3 April 2014 - PayPal Australia today launched the next generation of PayPal Here, an app and Bluetooth device engineered for Australian small businesses, service providers and casual sellers to easily accept credit card payments from their smartphone. The secure, chip and PIN credit and debit card reader has been specifically designed for Australia where Chip and PIN has been widely adopted and will soon be mandated across ATMs, cards and payment terminals.

An evolution of the first PayPal Here launched in March 2012, this is a completely new device turning a smartphone into a complete payments solution. Simple to use and easy to set-up, PayPal Here not only allows businesses to accept credit and debit MasterCard and Visa card payments, it also allows them to generate and distribute invoices and has the ability to log cash payments.
