Privacy Policy

Under the Privacy Act introduced in December 2001, the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) is committed to and is bound by the codes of practice under the act.

Information's supplied by you, may be collected by the FCA for the following purposes:

Membership and development related issues
Daily administrational requirements
Marketing purposes
For the execution of duties to satisfy our obligations

Under the codes of practice and various legislative bodies, the FCA is required to collect certain information to provide you a range of services outlined above.

Whilst information provided by you to the FCA are supplied under no obligation, a refusal to provide required information may mean we are unable to provide the level of service required and expected of us.

With the provision of services to you, it may be necessary to disclose personal information to other professionals and organisation's such as:

Legal authorities where legally obliged to do so
Guest speakers, chairpersons, event organisers, accounts or memberships personnel; i.e. where people are providing services to the FCA to assist you
Newsletter and publication recipients of the FCA
Member organisations

The FCA will not disclose collected information for purposes other than the above related issues unless the law authorizes disclosure or by the provision of consent by you.

Persons visiting www.franchise.org.au are under no obligation to disclose personal information unless they so choose to do so in the request for further information.

At the FCA we recognise the importance of privacy regarding your personal information. We will ensure that any personal information collected and retained by us will be protected from disclosure and misuse in any form.

As a part of our commitment to you, the FCA at all times would like to have up to date and accurate information regarding details supplied by you.
