Code Review Forum NSW

Code Review Forum

As you will have read in the media and in previous communication from FCA head office, a review of the Franchising Code of Conduct was announced last week and is scheduled for completion in 2013.
The FCA will be providing a submission to Government prior to the deadline on Friday 15 February.

A forum to discuss the FCA submission and the probable outcomes of the review will be held for members in the first week of February. Franchisors are strongly encouraged to attend. This is your opportunity to fully understand the likely changes to the Code that regulates the way you do business.

As a member of the Franchise Council of Australia, this is your chance to contribute to the way your sector is regulated and ensure you are strongly represented during any amendments that may occur.
With issues such as good faith obligation, right of compensation at end of term, and Code enforcement measures being considered, it is necessary that we present a united front and work collaboratively with those conducting the review, in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for our members and the franchising sector as a whole.

You can read more about the review here.

We look forward to seeing you at the forum.
