VIC Roundtable 20/11/2012

Succession Planning - How to exit & maximise your value

Early preparation and planning is the key to a successful exit.  Business owners that spend the time considering their preferred exit strategy and taking steps to facilitate the process will reap the rewards when it comes time to implementing an exit.  The exit process can be an expensive, time consuming and stressful exercise if not managed properly and can result in real value being left on the table.

This Roundtable will provide you with an understanding of the different options available to franchisors, the steps involved in each process and some tips for proactive strategies that can be employed immediately to better position your business for an eventual exit that maximises value.

The Roundtable will address the following questions:

  • What exit strategies are available to franchisors?
  • How does a purchaser value a franchise business?
  • How should I structure the sale/exit?
  • What steps are involved in the exit process?
  • What can I do now to increase value?

It will be an interactive session involving facilitators from different backgrounds to represent the perspectives of all parties involved in the exit process.

Venue: Norton Rose Australia, Level 15,  485 Bourke Street Melbourne VIC 3000

Facilitators: Marshall Bromwich, Norton Rose Australia; Dougald Elmer, Investec; Matthew Borg, Canterbury Partners

Venue: Victoria
