WA Breakfast Event

Breakfast of Champions!

Join us for a breakfast with these champions who have made their mark both on and off the field!

Christina Matthews
Christina is the Chief Executive Officer of the WACA.
Prior to this, she held senior management roles at Cricket New South Wales and Sydney Grade Cricket Club Balmain and also worked for Women's Cricket Australia, Women's Hockey Australia and the Victorian Football Association.
Christina kept wickets in 20 Tests and 47 one-day international matches for Australia between 1984 and 1995, including 2 World Cups in 1988 and 1993, and was the Southern Stars' Vice Captain from 1991 to 1993. She has also served in a number of off-field roles for the Australian women's team, including Manager, Assistant Coach, and Chairperson of the CA Selection Panel.


Kate Grieve
Kate was elected to the Board of the Fremantle Football Club as the first female Director in the club's history in November 2008.
Kate is a Retail Manager with Shopping Centre Owner and Developer, Westfield and has over 18 years experience in retail management, marketing and leasing.
Since joining the Board, Kate has been involved in the Club's Brand Renewal and Elite Training and Administration Facility sub-Committees and has acted as a mentor in the AFL Women’s Mentoring Program. She is also currently a part of the AFL's Female Directors Advisory Group. 
Kate is a member of the professional network, Women on Boards.


Sally Carbon
Sally represented Australia in hockey for nine years and played in two Olympic Games and two World Cups.
She was first asked to join a government board at the age of 22. Now, she sits on 5 boards, spanning government, health and education. She has been on the Federal board of the Australian Sports Commission, appointed by the Federal Minister.
She owns a strategic marketing and communications business called Green Eleven, working with the mining, engineering, retail, agriculture, health sectors and government, as well as an interactive technology company.
She has an Order of Australia Medal for services to sport.


This breakfast event will be held at Norton Rose Level 39, BankWest Tower, 108 Georges Terrace, Perth, 6000.
