WA Roundtable 07/11/2012

Protecting your Intellectual Property

Intellectual property (IP) rights are in many ways the foundation of a franchised business. It is therefore important to understand the different IP rights that might exist or might be able to be protected. It is also important to make sure that those interests are properly protected throughout the term of the franchised relationship, thus also protecting the brand and the interests of all in the system.

Different kinds of intellectual property rights exist which must be protected in different ways.

This roundtable event will discuss:

  • the different types of intellectual property rights which can be created
  • the different ways in which those rights can be protected
  • which protection methods are most effective
  • what steps to take when you think those rights have been infringed

Facilitated by Carolyn Meighan - Principal, Talbot Olivier

This roundtable will be held at Talbot Olivier, Level 8, Wesfamers House
40 The Esplanade, Perth

Venue: Western Australia
Phone Enquiries: 1300 669 030
