To register for the NextGen in Franchising competition you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • You must be a young entrepreneur between the ages of 21 and 35; and
  • You must have an established business that has been in operation between one and five years
  • You must have the capacity to scale your business through franchising.
  • The competition is open to members and non-members of the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA).

In partnership with the International Franchise Association, the FCA invites young entrepreneurs to participate in the Australian NextGen in Franchising competition.

Three Australian finalists will then be selected to compete against each other at the FCA's  National Franchise Convention in Canberra - Oct 9 -11, 2016  in a "FranShark" event during the convention pitching their business and plans to a panel of "FranSharks".

The "FranSharks" panel of experts will review all finalists presentations and announce the Australian winner at the FCA's Excellence in Franchising Awards Gala Dinner on Tuesday evening, 11th October 2016 in Canberra.

The Australian winner will be sponsored to travel to the IFA Convention taking place in Las Vegas, January  29 - Feb 1, 2017 to compete against all the other global finalists as the Australian representative.
