Franchise queen networks to share the knowledge

SARAH Cobb built her business around providing jobs for educated stay-at-home rnums.

She ploughs her profits back into the cornpany and into technology which allows her staff to work from home, saving on costly office rent.

In the past six years, she has developed her Gold Coast-based company Cariblue into a highly successful business growth specialist. Cariblue focuses on providing expertise in franchising, strategic planning, marketing and public relations to a growing clientele.

Under Ms Cobbs’ leadership, the company has built and developed franchise businesses both in Queensland and nationally.

That success has seen her take out the 2013 Queensland Franchise Woman of the Year gong at the NAB Franchise Council of Australia awards. Ms Cobb put her success down to "being an active part of the industry you work in".

She is also part-owner and director of the Australian Franchisor for BforB, a referral marketing franchise from Europe, which she and business partner Jaime Turner are currently rolling out across Australia.

"I think in the franchise community, it’s always great when we come together," she said.

"This community is exceptionally good at sharing knowledge.

"Networking is critical to keep you connected. It’s as much about what you give out as what you get back." She praised her team of eight staff for helping her garner the win.

Ms Cobb is now in the running to take out a national franchising excellence award which will be announced at Jupiters Hotel and Casino on October 22.
