Information for participating franchise systems

Award Definition

This award is for excellence in strategy and execution of a marketing program within a franchise system.
Note: A marketing program can be anything designed to drive profitable consumer sales and/or positive brand awareness and can include an internal marketing program.

Award Process

  1. Review the assessment criteria below to confirm that you are willing to respond to detailed questions in these areas.
  2. Complete the online entry form and pay the application fee. Entries close 8 June 2015. Your application fee goes toward covering the administration, marketing and assessment costs associated with the Awards.
  3. You will be sent a unique link to complete your online submission containing a number of specific questions based on the areas of assessment below. Submissions must be received by close of business 19 June 2015. No late submissions will be accepted.
  4. All submissions will be assessed by specialist judges using predefined criteria. Judges may contact you to verify or clarify aspects of your submission. You may also be invited to submit additional information or material to support your submission.
  5. The winner of Excellence in Marketing award will be announced at the 2015 FCA Gala Awards Dinner which form part of the FCA National Franchise Convention.

Areas to be assessed

Opportunity
Weight: 20%
Word Limit: 800
The significance of the marketing opportunity. This includes how the specific opportunity was identified and specific goals of the program.

Plan
Weight: 30%
Word Limit: 1,200

The sophistication of the planning process. This includes the documentation and monitoring of the plan and the measures put in place to track the ongoing success of the program.
Communication and execution
Weight: 30%
Word Limit: 1,200
The buy-in of franchisees and other stakeholders on which the program's success depended. 
Results and feedback
Weight: 20%
Word Limit: 800
The overall success of the program and how results were used for maximum benefit.
